The Shore Time schedule will unfold over three days of shared conversation and exploration. The program includes moderated talks, open studios with Fogo Island-based artists, and guided hikes and tours, with time built in for gathering and reflection.

Visit Fogo Island Workshops, one of Shorefast’s community businesses, and tour their furniture workshop located within the SUF Hall, once home to the Society of United Fishermen. Learn how the building’s heritage was preserved through the years and understand the craft, process, and ideas behind iconic Fogo Island Inn furniture pieces.

They will offer insights into the materials, crafts, cultural connections, and environmental considerations that have shaped the Inn. See how Fogo Island's heritage is reinterpreted through modern design and furnishings; gain a deeper understanding of the Inn’s approach; and witness how community economic development defines every decision and process at the Inn.
